Black Panther defeated him, and White Wolf went to stand trial for his crimes, ending his threat once and for all. White Wolf wanted to prove he was the deserving man for the Panther role, and the two finally fought for that right. Now, he killed innocent women to lure out T'Challa, believing the ends justified the means. The two always fought, with Hunter believing he deserved to be Black Panther. Under the rule of T'Chaka, the Hatut Zeraze did unspeakable things and killed people, believing the ends justified the means. T'Chaka adopted him and treated him like a son, but the young man knew he would never become king, and he resented T'Challa for it. However, he was still too much for White Wolf to stand up to.Īs he prepared for the final battle, Black Panther reflected on Hunter's life. He is the estranged, adopted brother of TChalla. He was at a disadvantage, stripped of his powers, his wealth, and his diplomatic immunity. Hunter the White Wolf is a Marvel Comics character, featured in Avengers Assemble: Black Panthers Quest. In Black Panther: The Most Dangerous Man Alive #523.1 by David Liss and Jefte Palo, Black Panther was called to help figure out who was killing the women. To do this, Hunter began slaughtering women in Hell's Kitchen to lure out Black Panther for their final battle. ![]() The husband fears the child and wants him killed, while the wife wants the child for herself. Meanwhile, White Wolf decided it was time to finally end his rivalry with T'Challa by killing the Black Panther once and for all. Origin When a plane crashes in the remote African nation of Wakanda, a husband and wife discover a Caucasian infant boy whose parents died in the crash. Eventually, his hate became too much for him, and Hunter went too far to turn back.īlack Panther abdicated his throne, left Wakanda, and became the new protector of Hell's Kitchen in the United States. He even helped out T'Challa's replacement as Black Panther, Kasper Cole, starting in Black Panther #50 by Priest and Dan Fraga. He did this in the 1999 Black Panther series, even though T'Challa wanted nothing to do with him. ![]() This meant that many times, Hunter would ignore his hatred of T'Challa and offer to work with him to protect the country of his upbringing. ![]() While he was exiled from Wakanda, he still had a great love of the country and his adoptive father, King T'Chaka. When White Wolf left Wakanda, he took the Hatut Zeraze with him, and they became mercenaries. This also included banishing his own adoptive brother, White Wolf, earning an enemy for life. His father, King T'Chaka, set up this deadly police force, and T'Challa fired every one of them when he became the King of Wakanda, refusing to allow them to continue their violent ways. It was in this issue that Black Panther revealed that he knew all about the Hatut Zeraze. Their leader was White Wolf, and the Hatut Zeraze were formerly Wakandan special forces police. Two members of the Hatut Zeraze, the Dogs of War, attacked Black Panther. Christopher Priest and Mark Texeira introduced White Wolf in 1999's Black Panther #4.
